Hira Industries has increased warehouse capacity without expanding its existing footprint, using high-level racking and narrow-aisle handling equipment. The upgrade raised pallet capacity from approximately 1,000 positions to nearly 4,000.
The project followed growth across the GCC, India, Southeast Asia and the United States, which increased inventory and pressure on the company’s previous storage infrastructure. Racking now reaches up to 15 metres, while materials can be stored at heights of up to 18 metres.

Combilift, together with UAE dealer Kanoo Machinery UAE, surveyed the facility and analysed its operations before designing a revised layout. Four articulated Aisle Master forklifts were selected for their ability to work in narrow aisles and access high storage levels.
The vehicles also support high-level picking and movement between raw-material and finished-goods areas. Cameras, laser guidance and lift-height preselection are intended to improve visibility and accuracy when loads are handled at height.
Hira says the redesigned operation has improved material flow as well as storage density. The investment gives the manufacturer additional room to support production and customer deliveries while continuing its international expansion.
