Propr Group has launched in the UK with a route optimisation platform intended to make fleet software adoption less financially risky. The company is targeting operators with 10 or more vehicles across medical and pharmaceutical distribution, food and beverage, B2B delivery and big-and-bulky home delivery.
Its ProprTMS product combines four modules: ProprPlan for planning and optimisation, ProprDispatch for dispatch and live route management, ProprExecute for driver workflows and proof of delivery, and ProprInsights for AI-supported operational reporting.
Founders James Holt, Gary Rosier-Taylor and John Hayes estimate that about 70% of UK logistics operations either do not have an optimisation tool or are not using the optimisation engine in their current system. They argue that implementation costs and contracts running for 36 months or more can make operators reluctant to change platforms before the return has been demonstrated.
Propr Group’s commercial approach is to let customers establish value in their own operation first, then move to a longer-term agreement if the results justify it. Customers can also choose a long-term commitment from the outset. More information is available from Propr Group.
The company is recruiting 10 to 15 UK operators for a beta programme. Founding customers will work directly with the founders and help shape the product. The proposed operational benefits include fewer unnecessary miles, lower fuel use, reduced emissions and improved control of driver time.
