South Korean packaging manufacturer Jooyeong P&S Corporation is introducing its Ecobundle reusable pallet system to Europe. Distributed internationally by Chempeople, the product uses a belt-and-cover construction made from high-tenacity PVC-coated polyester.
Ecobundle is designed for standard pallets measuring 950–1,100mm and can accommodate around 20% variation in cargo volume. A pallet can be secured in one to two minutes without machinery or specialist training, offering logistics operators a way to replace stretch film without redesigning their packaging process.
The company reports that the purchase price is recovered after approximately 35 uses, or about 1.7 months at 20 pallet cycles per month. Over 600 uses, it calculates a 93% net saving compared with single-use stretch wrap, including a 20% provision for loss and damage.
The system is also marketed on its environmental performance. After 365 uses, Ecobundle is reported to reduce CO₂ emissions by 95% against conventional stretch film and prevent 650g of plastic waste per pallet cycle. Units are designed for more than 1,000 reuses, with replaceable components intended to avoid whole-system disposal.
Ilyang Logis deployed the technology at its Okcheon Distribution Centre in 2023. The operator recorded a 30% cost reduction in the first year and a 97% packaging-waste reduction during a two-year pilot. Product variants include Standard Tarpaulin, Fixed/Pallet-Anchored and Mesh for ventilation-sensitive loads. A polypropylene version is intended to meet applicable PPWR material requirements from August 2026.
