HelloFresh Benelux is expanding its use of connected fleet technology after appointing Samsara as its telematics partner. The company will deploy the platform across more than 500 electric delivery vans operating from over 10 regional hubs.
The rollout follows a successful pilot in the Netherlands and is designed to give HelloFresh a unified view of vehicle operations, driver safety and delivery conditions. The platform will provide telematics, real-time safety coaching and temperature monitoring, while drivers will use the Samsara Driver App for daily workflows.

Integration with HelloFresh’s existing proprietary IT environment is a central part of the deployment. For a food-delivery network operating across multiple locations, combining vehicle and driver data with temperature information can support faster operational decisions and help protect product quality.
Mark Sugirtharajah, Senior Director Logistics Europe at HelloFresh, said driver feedback would support safer driving practices and help reduce road incidents. Samsara said the agreement demonstrated how integrated connected-operations technology can bring safety, cargo protection and efficiency together.
The project also underlines the operational requirements surrounding electric fleet growth. Purchasing electric vehicles is only one element of the transition; companies must also maintain visibility across dispersed assets, support drivers and manage service quality in real time. HelloFresh’s Benelux rollout places those functions within a single digital operating framework.
