DKV Mobility is establishing a technology hub in Porto to expand its data and AI capability across refuelling, charging and fleet management. The Portuguese site will form part of a wider European recruitment programme covering several hundred IT, data and AI engineering roles.
Capgemini will support the build-up phase, while the first specialists have already joined. DKV Mobility expects around 50 positions to be in place by the end of 2026 and approximately 150 team members by the end of 2027, when the group is planned to become fully integrated into the company.

The investment comes as fleet operators seek more integrated digital services. Electrification and mixed vehicle fleets are increasing the need for systems that can connect operational information across the customer value chain. DKV Mobility says the Porto team will help turn data and AI capabilities into market-ready products more quickly.
Porto was selected for its universities, technology community and supply of suitably qualified specialists. The hub will work with existing technology teams in Ratingen and Bucharest through shared development processes. No relocation of roles from those sites is planned; DKV Mobility intends to continue hiring and investing in training and development there.
The company describes Porto as a centre of excellence rather than a satellite office. Its role will be to strengthen delivery across the network and support growth in areas including e-mobility.
