Ewals Cargo Care opens four-acre UK transport hub

Ewals Cargo Care has opened a new Trucking Hub in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire, as part of an investment in its UK and Ireland transport network.

The four-acre facility is located near the A14 and A1, linking operations with southern ports, the Midlands and northern England. It provides space for trucks, trailers and staff vehicles, while the company continues to operate satellite sites in Immingham and Seaham.

The site brings fleet coordination, administration and vehicle accommodation together in one purpose-built location. It includes modern offices, enhanced security, driver welfare areas and training facilities. An outsourced maintenance partner is also based at the hub, which is intended to support vehicle availability and reduce off-route running.

Steve Foster, UK Depot Manager, said the facility provides a long-term platform for serving changing customer supply chains and supporting further growth. Ewals Cargo Care has operated in the area for more than 20 years, but previously managed administration and vehicle accommodation from separate locations.

By consolidating its activities, the company expects to improve teamwork and service continuity while retaining flexibility for future expansion. Together with the two satellite locations, the Godmanchester hub strengthens Ewals Cargo Care’s ability to provide transport capacity across the UK and for movements to and from Europe.
