Jungheinrich puts EAC 212a pallet AMR on sale

Jungheinrich has launched commercial sales of its EAC 212a autonomous mobile robot, a pallet-handling vehicle introduced at LogiMAT 2026. Its integrated lifting capability is intended to connect separate stages of an industrial material flow, from goods receipt through to dispatch.

The EAC 212a can serve floor and block storage, aisles, conveyors, automated storage and retrieval systems, and production or packaging equipment. By covering these interfaces, Jungheinrich is targeting material flows that extend beyond a single warehouse zone.

Lower barrier to deployment

The company has designed the system for rapid implementation, with limited infrastructure changes required in many applications. Customers can begin with one robot and a defined process, then add vehicles, operating areas and links to wider automation systems as demand develops. This staged approach is intended to protect existing investments while creating a route to broader automation.

Demonstration and try-and-buy programmes will let users assess the robot in their own operations before committing to a larger rollout. Jungheinrich says early customer interest has centred on integration simplicity and the breadth of possible applications.

Software features inherited from the EAE 212a include automated pallet storage and retrieval in block-storage environments, management of pallet positions, faster storage cycles and autonomous recovery functions for selected disruptions. The platform is also designed to accommodate future Physical AI capabilities, including camera-based recognition and handling of different load carriers, according to Jungheinrich.

For manufacturers and logistics operators, the launch combines an immediate pallet-transport application with an expandable automation architecture. Frederik Brantner, Jungheinrich’s vice president for robotics, said the EAC 212a was already becoming a key component in automation projects shortly after its introduction.
