Moffett Automation breaks ground on €4m warehouse automation centre

Moffett Automation has started groundwork for a €4 million Centre of Excellence at its headquarters in Clontibret, County Monaghan.

The facility will support research and development while providing a dedicated setting for showcasing the company’s warehouse automation systems. Its planned role is to demonstrate how software intelligence and engineered automation can be combined around the operational needs of warehouses.

Moffett Automation delivers an integrated offer covering software, automation engineering and lifecycle support. The company serves customers directly and through a global network of integrator partners, making the new site relevant to both project development and partner engagement.

For warehouse operators, a facility that brings digital control and physical automation together can provide a more practical way to assess system integration before deployment. It may also give integrators a space to examine how solutions respond to real operational challenges, although the company has not released detailed plans for the centre’s programme or schedule.

Sam Moffett, founder and managing director, said the start of construction was an important step for the company and its Monaghan team. He said the centre would support development work and demonstrate the relationship between software and engineering in response to the challenges faced by customers and partners.

The groundwork marks the first construction stage at the headquarters site. Further project information is available on Moffett Automation’s Centre of Excellence page.
