States Logistics has reported a 68% improvement in picking accuracy after deploying LYDIA Voice in its case-picking operations. The US third-party logistics provider implemented the system with EPG and ASW Global Consulting.
LYDIA Voice integrates with the company’s existing Infor WMS and provides spoken instructions throughout the picking process. This hands-free, eyes-free approach is designed for warehouses handling large orders, extensive pick lines and significant movement between locations.

The rollout was conducted during live operations rather than through a single cutover. States Logistics began with a small employee group and expanded to further teams. Almost the entire workforce was using the system after the first week, according to the company.
Noise was not reported as a barrier. Radios and multiple pickers working in the same zone did not prevent reliable recognition, with the solution configured to identify the individual operator’s voice.
Alongside the accuracy improvement, States Logistics recorded higher productivity, shorter training requirements and fewer overtime hours. Employee satisfaction also improved. The company highlighted the ability to adjust workflows without changing the underlying WMS as a significant benefit for a 3PL operation managing different customer requirements.
The deployment gives States Logistics a scalable process layer for responding to changing volumes and operational demands without interrupting warehouse activity.
