Fiege starts digital load carrier rollout with Loopario

Fiege has started deploying Loopario’s load carrier management system as it seeks tighter control of assets, movements and related costs across its international network.

The initial implementation covers tyre racks at all of Fiege’s tyre sites. The wider operation includes around 4.7 million load carriers across 131 locations in 15 countries, ranging from Euro pallets and mesh boxes to H1 pallets and customer-specific equipment.

Fiege previously handled operational and commercial information in separate systems. Transport-related movement data was partly transferred automatically, while monthly valuations were completed independently. Loopario’s LCMS is intended to connect those processes, giving the group a more consistent view of inventories, transactions and financial exposure.

The company expects the platform to standardise workflows, reduce repetitive manual work and make reconciliation with digitally connected partners easier. It also aims to improve the completeness of commercial assessments for pallet operations, raise automation levels and strengthen its customer offering.

A consulting project began in November 2025, followed by operational use from July 2026. The first phase runs until the end of October 2026, when Fiege plans to complete process capture, consolidate information and refine workflows. Subject to the results, the system is scheduled to expand to other load carrier categories from the second quarter of 2027.

The project builds on an existing corporate relationship: F-LOG, Fiege’s ventures arm, holds an investment in Loopario. F-LOG Principal Markus Hüting said the technology’s use within Fiege demonstrates its operational maturity.
