Miniclipper brings fourth warehouse onto Thomax WMS

Miniclipper Logistics has activated Thomax’s cloud warehouse management system at its EAV warehouse in Dunstable, marking the fourth go-live in the UK logistics provider’s six-site network.

The remaining two facilities are scheduled to follow in the first quarter of 2027. Once complete, Miniclipper will have replaced multiple warehouse systems with a single WMS platform less than two years after the first site went live.

The deployment supports Miniclipper’s expansion from general haulage into pallet networks, warehousing and e-commerce fulfilment. The company selected a system able to handle fulfilment and kitting, integrate with customer ERP platforms and be introduced through configuration rather than extensive bespoke development.

Implementation has been phased by site to protect service levels, with Thomax staff supporting each cutover. The first location was operational within four months of contract sign-off. At Burton-on-Trent, the fulfilment operation now processes roughly one order every five seconds at peak and can see up to a month of orders ahead, improving planning for next-day delivery.

Founded in 1971, Miniclipper employs 230 people and operates approximately 60 trucks. The shared WMS is intended to simplify customer integration and give the business a common digital foundation as it increases capacity and develops its logistics services.
