Cadent has agreed a 10-year lease for DC4 at Prologis Park Bromford Gate in Birmingham. The 80,000 sq ft unit is next to Cadent’s existing National Distribution Centre, giving the gas distribution company the opportunity to consolidate its Birmingham operations.
The deal is the first between Cadent and Prologis. Cadent has started fit-out work and expects to become operational in the unit in early 2027. The project is also expected to create approximately 100 new jobs in Birmingham.
Cadent manages 82,000 miles of gas pipelines across the Northwest, East and West Midlands, East of England and London. The additional space will expand its local operational base and support its contribution to the West Midlands economy.
Bromford Gate is already occupied by GXO, Stellantis and Fischer Farms. The Cadent lease brings the park to full occupancy and reflects Prologis’ flexible approach to building requirements and transaction timescales.
Prologis’ remaining available space in the West Midlands is concentrated at Prologis Park Coventry. Refurbished DC13 offers 228,000 sq ft, while 184,000 sq ft DC8 is undergoing refurbishment scheduled for completion in December 2026.
Cadent is the UK’s largest gas distribution network. The Prologis Park portfolio includes established industrial and logistics occupiers across the region.
