Pudu Robotics opens German base to support European expansion

Pudu Robotics has opened a European headquarters in Neuss, Germany, as the robotics supplier expands its regional operating network. The site combines sales, demonstrations, training, warehousing, repairs and after-sales support.

The company says it now operates in more than 20 European countries. Over the past two years, annual business growth exceeded 60% in 11 markets: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Norway, the UK, Spain, Italy, the Czech Republic and Poland.

The Neuss facility is intended to support customers beyond the initial sale of a robot. It includes storage for complete machines and spare parts, a showroom and training capacity, allowing the company and its partners to coordinate demonstrations, preparation and local service from one regional location.

Pudu has nearly 50 sales staff and almost 40 technical-support personnel serving European markets. Its infrastructure also includes a service centre in Germany and warehouses in Germany and the Netherlands. Distributors, system integrators and service providers form part of the wider support model.

The company serves 16 industries, including retail, food and beverage, hospitality, healthcare, transport, education and warehousing. Its named European customers include EDEKA, Albert Heijn, Carrefour, Marriott, Van der Valk, Pizza Hut, Intermarché and Denner. Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is among the transportation hubs using its solutions.

Pudu says deployment plans are adapted to individual site layouts and operating patterns, an approach aimed at helping customers integrate robots into existing processes and extend projects across multiple locations. Support is available in several European languages.

At a forthcoming event in Amsterdam, the company is due to present the T600, T300 and T150 light-payload industrial delivery robots and the MP2000 pallet-handling robot. Bella Sun, Pudu’s vice-president and general manager for Europe, said the Neuss headquarters would strengthen cooperation with customers and partners as regional adoption develops.

Pudu Robotics plans to continue investing in local teams, warehouses and service capabilities.
